  • humming increase with rpms

So i just finished reading as many threads as i could find using the search and just want to double check somethings. I've got my car pc in the trunk and in rush ran my power wire and my RCA cable on the same side of the car, so is the humming as simple as that? Or is it because I'm not using a metal case and the motherboard isnt grounded?

The hum gets louder as my car accelerates and the rpms increase.

    any help is greatly appreciated

Probably a bit of both. I was getting rpm related humming when I didn't have my computer case grounded. My suggestion would be to first try shielding the motherboard with a metal case, and then grounding the case to our car. If that doesn't fix it, move your RCA cables to the other side of the car.

It could be it, but if you were rushing, I'd bet its only one of many.
Take my advice: Do not try to build a system that includes EVERY feature. Start with the basics, build it to a bug free state, and THEN add on.
