  • How to remove a MK6 Dash? 2002

    Hi

I have tried looking to see if anyone has detailed info about removing a MK6 Dash.

    I have found http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/newb...rd-fiesta.html

But I can't see how you remove the dash?

I get as far as all the screws out, the dash coming forward, but then I am stuck with the Air control dials.

Is there any clear pictures or info on exactly where you suppose to unclip this, or can I unscrew this as I see two screws holding this part to the dash?

    Thanks

You need specific tools to remove the radio. If you notice there are small little slits on the sides of the radio, Click here.

Sorry, if I not made this clear.

The car is a Ford Fiesta 2002.

It doesn't need that tool as it's the Air control section which is preventing it from moving forward enough to get to the unit.

      Thanks

Sorry I'm not very familiar with that car since it is not available in the U.S.
Although, I would guess that you need to pull out the HVAC knobs in order to access the screws that is holding the dash on. Make sure that the knobs are at 12 o'clock before you attempt to pull them out. Either that or you need to release the opposite sides of the cable driven line, temp control etc. Those are typically found under the left side dash.

Removed mine last week. You can remove the heater matrix cable and circulation plug easily. On the right, the circular plug should pop off. Tricky part is the middle control. Unhook the wire, press the two pins towards each other and pull the cable gently.
