  • Mp3 USB Audio Only Some Songs Work [SOLVED]

Hi, Im a new member wasn't to sure were to post this either here or input devices, But I'm having Some trouble With My usb memory cards or songs When plug into my headunit in the car, Only some songs work, allot of the others have very distorted sound or dont even play and skip to the next song.
I've tried and bought several usb memory card sticks and not had much luck, I just wanted to know is this a common problem? has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to fix it?

Try playing them with windows media player on your computer. If they play Ok then you know where the problem is.

Please provide more details: what head unit are you using? What formats of songs do you have?

Sounds like your head unit doesn't like some formats? Find an mp3 that the unit skips and see if it's encoded with variable bitrate (VBR) instead of constant bitrate (CBR). Also check if the file names contain unicode characters (non-english letters, for instance). There are plenty of things that could be going wrong - since you've tried multiple memory cards, I'd say it's a problem with the songs themselves.

Hi Guys Thank you for your response, But a friend suggested to convert the mp3 files again in to mp3's And see if It worked So I downloaded a free converter and tried a couple of songs and it worked perfectly..
As MGD said, I had tried them in windows media player and they worked totally fine, but it was just in the car, As nivanov said I believe it could be the files encoded differently... also All files I use are mp3's and here is my headunit:
