  • deciding on a setup for my regular cab truck

i have 2 jl audio 10w3s in my car atm, and i love them. gonna be selling it soon and i doubt i can fit them in the truck, and as much as i would like to, a full jl audio setup is a bit out of my price range lol. so been thinking of an alpine setup with a nakamichi hu. ill give the specifcs and you guys let me know what ya think of the idea, just wantin some feedback, positive or negative. a SBR-S83V Enclosed Type-R 8 Subwoofer, 2 spr 6x9 coaxial speakers, 2 spr 6.5 coax speakers, MRX-V70
5 Channel Power Amplifier, and a nakamichi cd 300 hu. all advice is welcome, troll if you want, ill sift through to find the good advice xD

Would you be able to build your own box? Take a look at the sundown SA8 sub. If you can build your own box itll save you money and probably sound better than that type r. They have some great output and sound nice. In a single cab you may get all you need out of a nice component set in the doors and the sub. no need for the 6x9s. Honestly in my crew cab i dont feel i even need my coaxials in the rear doors, especially with my 10" sub under the seats.

Posted once already and it disappeared. If you can build your own box, you might want to look at sundown audios SA8 sub. youll save money and its a great sub. You may also want to think about just doing a nice component set in your doors and not worry about the 6x9s in the rear. i found that i dont even need my coaxials in the rear doors of my crew cab after installing my sub under the seats.

        ^good advice.

Three good component sets spanning a few price ranges are
Pheonix gold Rsd series. look around online for these
Hi-Vi there is a neo and standard set of these can be found on madisound.com
Audioque has a great set for around 200 can be found on audioque.com

The SSA Icon 10 would be an excellent choice in sub as well. can be found on soundsolutionsaudio.com
