  • Focal Or Audison For Car AMP

Hey Guys New to the Forums and looking to get a little Input on what people Believe will be a better choice or if there is little to no difference. To the Point I will have The Focal Utopia 165 W-RC / Passive speakers for The front tweeter and In my kicker panel
The 2 Amplifiers I am comparing are the Focal PS 4160 or the Audison AV Quattro Both are good amps but just wondering if anyone has a Preference to which would work better with the speakers Thx in advance for the help

IMO Mosconi Amp are a leap above both, The Mosconi AS series and the zero series which are SQ competition level amps.

are you going to be competing with this setup? if not, you probably don't really need that high quality of an amp. honestly, any subtle gains you're going to get from a $1,000+ amp are going to be drown out as soon as you start driving down the road. If you have the money burning a hole in your pocket, ditch the passive x-overs, invest in a quality active x-over, a good eq and get the extra two channels of amplification. I'd put money on it that you'll see better results and spend less (as long as you had a proper tune)

      here is what i'd do:

alpine pxa700 and rux700 for your eq/x-over (this will allow you to go fully active and toss the passive x-overs) you can find them used for about $400
decent amps ~150 watts per channel (i'd look for some that are around the $250 range)
and spend the money or time to get a great tune
