  • Radio Solution Consensus?

    Okay I've been ing and ing for the last 30 minutes looking for the best usb fm radio solution for my carputer. I've come to the conclusion that the d-link is pretty worthless and the Radio-Xtreme is pretty good if you hook it up to your car's antenna. But then I read some posts saying the Radio Xtreme is awful....

    Is there any concensus on what the best USB Fm (and AM if thats possible yet) radio for carputers?

    ..Frodo-compatible please
    mobo $130 ; 150wOpus-$200 ; 256mb pc2700 -$10 ; 120gb HDD 7200-$70 ; Lilliput TS 7"-$265 ; USB LAN-Free AR ; Rikaline 6010 GPS-$34 ; ShuttleXpress-$37
    Total = $746....Carputer = Priceless

    Get XM! It's great. I bet you want local stuff though, right? All I know is my D-Link was terrible, it got 1 station barely. Sorry I can't be of more help =\. But seriously check out the XM for $5/month thread
    CarPC install is starting to come along again...

              no line in?! are you sure? I have never seen a sound card made w/o one.
              Even all the onbord audio systems should have it.

                I'm using the PCI one, not the USB one. But you might want to double check your sound card, it should have a line in.

                  Hi,
                  Im using a laptop.
                  I have microphone in, not line in.
                  And headset.
                  When trying to use the microphone as line in no sound.
                  I use sound in via USB.
                  Regards

                    It's a completely different product.

                    PS the usb2 hauppage sends audio steam down USB bus.
