one question, WHY? bose systems only sound somewhat ok in the vehicle it was designed for acoustically, taking sound reflection & absorbtion into acount along with speaker location & designed for that particular installation & if moved to a different vehicle would actually work against you.there isn't much reason to pursue this, as there are much better & easier alternatives, actually just about any decent aftermarket unit would be a better choice...don't mistake bose as beeing good or high end when it comes to automotive use...that's far from the truth....
does anyone know of a website that i can purchase bose car audio systems from without the exchange. i know they dont sell aftermarket in the US but i was wondering about an over seas site?
You wouldn't be wanting to install it in a Ford, would ya?
If your looking for the best bang for your buck speakers, get Infinity. If you have money to spend on bose, just go to your local Tweeter and play with their speakers (or Frys if your so lucky). MB Quartz would be the brand to check out.
For headunits, I would check out circuit city. Alpine are a decent unit, and circuit city is not carrying them into 2005, so here's hoping they get clearanced out at some good pricing *cha-ching*
Bose doesn't deserve the reputation they seem to have on the internet. I installed commercial Bose audio systems and they are all very well engineered systems. Sure the drivers are just good enough for the output of the amp driving them, and that amp is just good enough to fill the cabin with a nice full spectrum of sound. Of course you can build a better system aftermarket, but you better have a spectrum analyzer to get it tuned as well as a Bose. It won't be easy. Has anyone checked out their suspension system yet?
This just says if you know how to sell and advertise a product, you get on top, like Bose is considered. I've seen a lot of people speaking very impressed about these products, but, in fact, they've never heard one. I guess you find out the truth only when you hear it with your own ears...
umm.. he's not asking about what YOU guys think about Bose.. he's asking about where he can buy it.
Your best bet would be eBay.
I have thrown quite a lot of factory bose equiptment in the garbage, not worth doing anything with really. to actually persue a search to obtain this to the point this guy is, shows me that he PROBABLY isn't well informed & is under the impression that he is going out of his way to obtain something because he thinks it's great. I just wanted to try to enlighten him, & I was relatively sure that my opinion would be reinforced by the other posts added.
the only reason to try to find anything bose is if you are looking to replace an oem damaged unit, that's it. all the bose you see on ebay is just people throwing there junk on ebay after ripping it out to replace it with better, & all of the people who have damaged defective or otherwise needing replacement oem stuff buying it. bose stuff isn't compatable really with anything else either & to put a bose head unit in a car that didn't have it originally is a suicide mission really, just trying to prevent a suicide man
Why reccomend a piece of **** to someone when they can do so much better.
man, their noise cancelling headphones own your life, so shut your face you dip$hit
I have this out of control urge to just destroy anyone that uses foolish anagrams to sucker punch things. Just be happy you are relatively anonymous, because id be willing to bet their are others that want to rage on your adolescent carcasses. Im also appalled that somehow your brain justifies posting such foolish contributions. Do you feel a sudden rush of brilliance when your feeble mind can conjure up a word or phrase transposing the letters of another word or phrase? JESUS
