  • multiple aux-in for pioneer using rb10/20?

i currently have a pioneer mp3 deck with the rb10 aux in and i am using a switch for switching audio from my xbox and computer. my question is if there is anyway to get multiple inputs into the deck and selecting them from the deck so i dont have to use a switch (possible from using a rb20 for one source then plugging in a rb10 for the other plugged into the rb20) btw, i have a pioneer deh-p4500 if it helps.

heres a funny thing. I SWEAR I read somewhere years ago, that a pioneer radio could control up to three CD changers. I had not been able to find any adapters to do this. Later, when I found out I could still use at least one cd changer along with the RB 20, I looked back through all my pioneer documentation and could find nothing about multiple CD changer control.

my guess is, that you can not daisychain the rb10 into the rb20. I cant say that with 100% assurance, however. but the pioneer only has one set of aux controls, so I woul dbe dubious.

My first Pioneer head unit, going back a few years - an IP-bus 4000 series, had the ability to control multiple cd changers, but none of the later headunits I've fitted have had anything in the documentation about *how* to actually achieve this. I presumed that you just daisy chained them together via a special IP-bus cable.

I'm actually wanting to do this now, with a 6disc and a 12disc changer and my AVH6400, in addition to the car pc.

I just switched from the cd-rb10 to the cd-rb20. I wanted to control my XMD with my HU or CarPC and get audio from the CarPC. So I got the XMD Pioneer adapter and the cd-rb20. The XMD goes thru the IP-Bus and the CarPC thru the RCA. When I have them both going it mixes the audio. I can't mute the XMD with my HU but I can change the channel to 00 the ID number which works.
