  • i need a little help setting up my system

    Hi Guys,

I have gotten pretty much everything i want...... untill i get more money, lol
but after i bought my amp from a friend he was on about wiring this in paralell and that bridged or whatever and it kind of comfused the hell out of me, obviously im a total noob wiring up stuff, so here's what i got...

2x 8" Boss Audio Subwoofers (BAX-01) 800Watts (says the perspex)
a pair of "premiere" 4" POS mid\tweet thingeys
    Pioneer TS-D690R 6x9's
    Kicker IX404 Power Amplifier
    Clarion DXZ435 CD head unit
    Engine Noise Supressor

and there is a 300watt AC/DC inverter and carputer in the mix too

what is the best way to wire all this up?

    thanks guys

Wire the speakers to the HU, and the subs to the amplifier. You could bridge the amp, but since there are 2 subs that would be useless.

apparently the Pioneer TS-D690R 6x9's need amplification, and soz for the noob question but what exactly is "bridging the amp"?

That depends on how powerfull you HU is. If you have a 2 channel amp, say like 2x50W, bridging it, you have 1x100W. On a sub, you wire the "+" to the "+" of a channel, and the "-" to the "-" of the other channel.

umm ok that kinda makes sence, so if i have 8 (4+ and 4-) wire inserts to go to speakers i wire up all the +'s together and all the -'s together and get 40x4 watts on one channel, right? giving 1 160watt channel or 2 80 watt channels....... damn i wish i passed math
