  • Which M-Audio card for me?

    Hi,

I am a SQ freak and I am think to build a carput to replace my Clarion deck. I am considering to buy a M-Audio sound card but don't know which one will suit my requirements the best. I have 2.1 setup in my car so surround sound is useless to me and I want best SQ possible. My concern is the sound card might not be as good as a high end deck but I would find out. If it is not as good, I will put it in my home PC instead.

Please see my sign for my current setup.

All M-Audio sound cards (for 100% based on AKM codecs) have too low output levels, it may be a very big problem in car.

If you want to use M-Audio specifically, use the delta 44... 2 channels of D-A output and 2 channels of SPDIF output.

You'll need a crossover to run that sub tho, that won't be handled onboard.

I think their RCA output is 2v, right?

Check to make sure that its drivers are able to resume from hibernation. If not you'll be mad later.
