    Yes that amp is pricey, but don't go by Crutchfield's prices. They are always high. Search E-bay or something similar.

    I'm using an Audiobahn ADD51T D/A converter, or DSP, hooked to my computer through an AViC Optical audio cable. The ADD51T will be hooked to my Alpine MRV-F545 4 Channel amp rated at 125w x 4 @ 14.4v. The ADD51T has 9 volt preamp outputs, compared to most car radios that use 3-5 volts so the audio should be very clean.

    Just an idea for you...

      Yea, i just found that Alpine unit myself, it is on ebay for around $400.
