  • Connect HU to Amp w/o use of AUX Out

    Hi

I just bought a new car and the stock speakers need to be replaced. I want to keep the original HU though which has no Line/Aux out. I has just the regular outputs that connect directly to the stock speakers. The amp from my old car only has RCA Line in. Is there any gadget that I can put in between the HU and the Amp to make it work?

    TIA

Yes. It's a line output converter.
    Here's one at Crutchfield: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-3qfwg9G...evel&i=142SLC4

You may be able to get one even cheaper if you look hard enough.

Don't buy that Scosche one. They're noisy. Look for PAC, they're more expensive but they're better. Whatever you get DO get one with adjustable gains.

I forgot to mention that although I'd recommend against that Scosche one, it does have adjustable gains.

Thanks for the info. Ordered one off eBay for a few bucks. It has adjustable gains. Will see how it performs.
