have your car pc control the xm radio and connect the pc to the aux input. no need for two inputs that way

also... i suggest you start here if you are going to build a car pc:
            http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=106

i wont expect another question from you for a couple days (you have lots of reading my friend) good luck and welcome to the forum...once you get your car pc up and running you won't ever go back to a regular head unit. unless you do..then i will be a liar.

Just to give you another idea, I went the other way around. I have my radio go into the Line In on my carpc and then fed the carpc to the amps.

you have to consider fm stations and xm display thats on the head unit that shows artist name and what not. Ok I am off to reading.
