    am I seeing that right?

it only has a single left and single right output? So you could go to one two channel amplifier....only.

note: for questions like this, please start a new thread, I split this out from the thread you originally posted in.

The RCA closest to the 'top' is SPDIF. Probably out, whereas the white is probably in. The analog is part of a 'breakout' cable which is shown in some of the pictures.

Read the review posted on Newegg. It starts off by saying the software doesn't work properly, so automatically it might not be so great.

if your running a single amp then stereo output froma soundcard shouldn't be a problem. also if your amp has pre-outs then you can run a multi amp setup with a single set of rca outs. for the money though you should look into the silverstone dac. do a search about it on the forums and you'll find a link to a really good review/comparison of that unit.

        will cost you about $100

        edit:
i did the searching for you:

8 channels out so will be 7.1. no doubt you can run it in anything 2, 2.1, 4.1 etc etc up to 7.1 though.

This card is designed for PRO use in studio and home studio environments. It's really NOT the right card for in-car use unless you are planning on having a few different things going on at once.

"Two analog inputs and eight analog outputs plus coaxial S/PDIF I/O"

I think Newegg has their caption wrong. This doesn't look like it's setup as a 7.1 card at all.
