  • anyone try the foobar xover plugin to run an active front stage?

    Hey everyone,

i was wondering if anyone has tried using foobar2000 with the xover plugin [http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/...owtopic=29316] to run an active front stage. i'd like to ditch the hu, and would like to refrain from taking the h70x route (im a minimalist when it comes to items in my signal chain). i would use my setup as a guinea pig but my carpc is still in its planning phase. id love to hear your opinions/experiences. thanks!

great - but have you thought about how you're going to get a signal to your amplifiers first?

Once you have that figured out, then ask about this.

i do have have an 2zs and an extigy at my disposal, i still havent decided on which one will be going into the car. from reading up on these boards i am under the impression that my amps will not be getting enough input voltage if i connect them directly to my soundcard? should i be afraid of excessive noise in the signal going this route? sorry for all the questions, im a total newbie at this. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks everyone!

Haven't really read the link thoroughly; but, i wonder if that will work with the echo gina 3g card?

are there any advantages to going the foobar xover route?!? i see now that a line driver/preamp of some sort will still be needed, so i guess the only real advantage would be the highly subjective "ease of use" of the foobar ui... guess its just more trouble than its worth, or is it?!? thanks for the time everyone.

wasn't there just a thread about the foobar xover route, like in the last day or so?
