Unfortunatly not all the info is complete (although the topic-starter will get his questions answered).

I'd like to see the different classes in amps a bit more explained, 'cuz theres alot more then A,B,AB,D..... class T for instance..... Unfortunatly I'm not the one to contribute that information, because my knowledge doesn't reach that far, sadly enough... But if someone else can contribute to that (Red, durwood, turbocad,....?) I'm willing to learn here guys ('n gals)

Here is the best site I've ever found for this info:
          http://www.bcae1.com/

Careful though, you'll actually have to read and learn something.

someone else had written a bit on that article. I came across it and completely rewrote it because much of the information they provided was flat out wrong.

I didn't include everything in there for a lack of time and the hope that someone else would add some into it as well.

http://www.bcae1.com/ Rocks. Everything you ever wanted to know about how to make your car stereo the best on the block. Be prepared to study that website though, it's like a college level course in mobile electronics installation.

a 2 channel amp has 2 channels (left right) a 4 channel amp has4, (left front, left rear, right front, right rear) mono just has 1 channel (for your sub), and a multi could be anywhere from 2 to 5 channels (or more, if they exist). I cant help you on classes of amplifier, but BCAE can. Finally, ohms is a measure of electrical resistance. the proper resistance is VERY important in car audio. It's what keeps you from frying your speakers/amp. BCAE has a big section on resistance and ohms law too.
