  • Hello ! Help needed....

    Hello all,
I'm a newbie to this forum.I just purchased a OBDKEY Bluetooth reader and am having trouble connecting to my Dell axim x51v PDA.I have been through the entire process numerous times and still not able to do it.I keep getting a "BT error" message or the best is "waiting for vehicle ecu to respond". Have also tried it with my laptop and the same happens.Anyone here tried or have had success with this OBDKey? Any advise is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance !

Just curious ... to what kind of vehicle are you connecting the OBDKey?

      OBD Key

I have tried to connect it to 3 vehicles- Daihatsu Boon(same as Toyota Passo) , Ssangyong Rexton 2 and Ssangyong Kyron. Both the Ssangyong are CAN Bus Systems running a 2.7 and 2.0 lt Common Rail Turbodiesel engines. The Daihatsu is a 1.3 DOHC gasoline engine and the OBD2 plug is an ISO type.
I tried it again today and now the error message is "BT Stream Failed".It seems like the OBDkEy does not want to link/communicate with the PDA or Laptop.Any ideas?

      Thanks in advance...

I have a 96 Dodge intrepid that won't talk to the lower end OBDII readers, but will talk to the higher end models...why I have no idea.
