  • Anyone have actually data?

    I'm looking for actually Data so that I can check my MPG equations.

    For example, I'm looking for:

    KPH, IAT, MAP, RPM, Displacement, VE, MPG (actual MPG)

    Where VE is the volumetric efficiency. (An estimate is fine)

      Here is some data I gathered from a 2007 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.3L V8. Instant MPG was read off the dash and a snap shot was taken of the various PIDs then the data was entered into spreadsheet. Sorry, I cant give out the whole spreadsheet.

          Thanks so much for the data.

          Were the measurements taken at constant RPM and no acceleration?
          Neither the MAF or MAP equations generate results that closely match the dash MPG.
          The Inst Dash MPG is probably smoothed with many samples, but if you were moving along at constant RPM, load and no acceleration, it should be correct.

          The MAF equation is the most simple MPG = KPH*7.107/MAF
          On average its mismatches the Dash value by 13.77% on the high side, and is 120% off for the 7th sample.

            Yes, they were all taken at a constant speed and RPM as best as possible.

            Your numbers seem a bit father off than mine. Did you take all my speeds and convert them back to KPH?
