  • Alternatives to OBD

My car is 1992 so before the OBD connection was available.
My gauges are all mechanical for example the speedometer.
Is it possible to connect this to display the speedometer on a carputer?

Use a gps program to display speed. If that is all you want.
what other information are you looking for?

mainly speedo but then i started to see all this about tachometer, fuel level, etc....so ideally all the normal dials and obviously there are signals for them but they are mechanical as opposed to digital through the ECU. I wondered if there was any products in place for older cars to input this to the carputer

You would need to put something together yourself... check out the fusion brain in the mp3car store if your interested.
