  • OBDTrip - Trip computer for Windows Mobile

    Hello everyone,

This is a project we was working on during the previous autumn. It was ready last December but during 2011 we did a lot of testing plus some improvements.

OBDTrip is a software which runs on Windows mobile phones and currently is tested on Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5, yet not 7.. In addition, an Android version is under development..

OBDTrip uses the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD II) data communication type for gathering data from the car's ECU and then it calculates various values and demonstates them on the mobile phone's screen. It is actually a more advanced trip computer which also includes an economy indicator plus CO2 emission monitoring!

The set of features is listed below:

    OBDTrip Features:
    • Time started (For trip)
    • Trip duration
    • Distance Travelled
    • Average speed
    • Instant fuel consumption (currently not supported for Diesel engines)
    • Average fuel consumption
    • Fuel consumed
    • Fuel Cost (In real time)
    • Fuel remaining
    • Range
    • Instant CO2 emissions (g/km)
    • Average CO2 emissions (g/km)
    • Total trip CO2 emissions (kg) (Carbon footprint)
    • Arrival time
    • Remaining Distance
    • Economy Indicator (Green, Yellow, Red), automatically adjustable
    • Rercord data to excel spreadsheet for later analysis

The full version of the program costs 8€ (about 10-11USD) but you can try it for free for 30" (full features) of actual trip monitoring. You can take as much time as you wish to calibrate it. If you are happy with the application you can then purchase it.

Please feel free to add any comments/feedback here or on the website (, we are new at this field so we need your help.

    Thank you,
    The OBDTrip team
