  • Seat Leon II, 08', Ambient Air Temperature via OBD

    Hello,
I would like to ask You some questions. I have Seat Leon II, 08', 1.6 gasoline. With my ELM327 I want to read some data. Take a look.

    Code:
    >0100
    SEARCHING...
    41 00 BE 3E E8 11

I know what 0100 and 41 00 BE 3E E8 11 means. It's a list of 32 PID's enabled or not to read in OBD. But it's not all of PIDs. There's more e.g 01 46, is request for ambient air temperature.

    When I send 01 46:
    Code:
    >0146
    03 7F 01 12 95
    How to decoded this informations?

7F is a Negative acknowledgement. 01 is the function requested.
    12 is sub-function (the 46) not supported.

If in the 0100 response pid $20 is supported then read that. That will give you a further list of 32 pids.
If pid $40 is supported then read it and yet again get a further list of 32 pids.
That's the way you find out if pid $46 is supported or not (which is this case it is not).
