Hey guys new to the site, and quick question, i tried a search but didnt hit it exactly.

I have a 97 lt1 from a vette in my camaro its obd2, im building a carputer now and i was wondering what software is outthere that will let me see all the sensors and gages along with letting me edit the actual PCM(timing/O2/egr/open-closedloop/fan turn on-off/fuel-air ratios/lean-rich curves/etc.). and could i add things to it like F/A gages/ boost/ tranny temps/rearend temps/ etc. also is any of the editing software "realtime" i know on my older obd1 to edit the ecm i had to pop out the proms and flash tehm everytime i wanted to make a change. thanks in advance for the help i hope this isnt a repost

ps. is there a frointend that can incorporate this? was thinkin of using centrafuse. thanks again

They are not real time adjustable with out external hardware. It still gets flashed but through the ALDL. The ELM interface will give you some info but I think only the generis PIDs nothing vehicle specific.

HPTuners is exactly what you are looking for. You can display up to 24 PIDs at once and make some adjustments on the fly. However, the adjustments you make are temporary. In order to finalize a tune, you have to read the PCM, edit the file, then reflash the PCM.

BTW, Autotap will only allow you to monitor your car and not make any changes to the tune. I'm selling mine if you're interested.
