I got some of the stuff for it (the wiring hook up from obd-2.com, but it seems to be real flakey when my Volvo 850 is running. Actually, it was pretty flakey when I was stopped too. I don't know if it is just because of my car, or maybe because of the connector thing.

I was just about to order that connector ($76 doesn't seem too bad). Anyone else have any experience with these, and the windows programs that go with them?

I'm running autotap. If you have any questions with that I can help you with. Here are some screen shots..

Oh, and you can monitor just about everything about the car. Close to 120 various inputs. You can only view a small amount of them at a time though.//

You can actually build your own. Here is one web site on just that

          http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl8192/8192hw.htm

          The web site

Also I have a very small program called pcmcomm.exe if you want to take a look. I can post it on a web site I guess or could I attach it here?

Is it possible to control when your automatic transmission shifts with this software?

That's freakin' awesome! If only my car was compatible...

Of course, I'm going to an aftermarket computer, so I guess it doesn't matter...

My 94 Prelude Si is similiar to a 96 Prelude Si.
I'm wondering if that OBD-2 software and connector work with my car? I found this info:
The Honda 1996 Prelude connector is positioned on the horizontal section of the center console either left or right of the vehicle center line. This does not include the horizontal section of the center console that extends into the rear passenger area. The connector has no cover and is above shifter .
The Honda 1996 Prelude on-board diagnostic network uses the ISO protocol.

Anyone know if there are other Honda Prelude computer diagnostic PC tools?

                      Relocating headunit and extending faceplate
Button app to Alt-Tab between two programs

Hey Darmie, That link's not working (for me anyway) I'd be real interested to see how to make it. Is that diagram that is posted the one on the website you linked to?

I'm also having a problem with that server. Yes, that is a picture from the site.

Another place to play around with is at http://autotap.com This is the unit I purchased.
Also with the autotap unit, you can check and fix any SES codes that your engine computer sets.
There was also a company or web site www.ls1edit.com that was also making a system such as the autotap but with a way to edit the computer i.e fuel mixture, timing and so on..

Is this just acquisition? or can it program too?

I always thought that OBD2 programmable interfaces were in the $400 range. and that is for one that requires a computer, not just the handheld programmer
