    DashCommand v2

We are proud to announce that DashCommand version 2 is now available.

DashCommand™ is a touch screen friendly software application that is designed to integrate OBD-II data monitoring and logging into the in-car computing experience. Use DashCommand’s capabilities to create and display stunning virtual dashboards with styles ranging from digital gauges to analog gauges. Thanks to DashXL™ technology, the dashboards look great on any screen size, large or small.

We’ve added new capabilities to DashCommand that will allow a richer and more satisfying experience. The highlights are:
    • Create and use interactive dashboards with the addition of buttons, states, and the ability to switch between dashboards.
    • Add new calculated metrics to dashboards with the support of ScanXL scripts.
    • Read and clear your Check Engine Light trouble codes.
    • Record data logs from dashboards and from the new data logging screen.
    • Playback the logs files or analyze then in ScanXL.
    • Support for multiple vehicles
Use the DashXL Skin Editor to create your custom interactive virtual dashboards or modify and customize the ready-made dashboards available for download from DashXL.net. The dream of having a full function virtual dashboard at your finger tips that matches the style of your existing dashboard can now be realized.

    DashXL.net

Introducing DashXL.net, your source for DashCommand dashboards and resources to help you create, modify and customize dashboards for your particular needs. Over the coming months DashXL.net will grow to include dashboards submitted by DashCommand users that can be downloaded and used by the rest of the community. We hope that the new site will become a valuable resource for those seeking help with creating and modifying dashboards and that together we can build a supportive and active community.

As Madboy said above, you only get Engine RPM in demo mode. You must purchase a license key to unlock the rest of the PIDs. To see which PIDs are supported by your vehicle, go to the data logging screen and click Add PID. This will bring up a list of total/supported PIDs.

The fact that you are able to get Engine RPM to show and work properly means the software is compatible and working with your vehicle. You just need to buy a license key to unlock the full functionality.

                  Fair Enough PPE
Ill try the PID function and see if i can make some scene out of it... Also can I change the temp to C instead of F and KMPH instead of Miles....

Just an add on.. it would have been nice if you could add in ANY other parameter in the demo mode so that it would be very clear to me ( may be others as well ) that the software is fully compatible

1 more quest .. The license that i buy, will it ALWAYS be active for the particular PC or will I have to buy a new code if I format this PC and reinstall every thing all over again ( no hardware change )

The DashCommand dashboards are fully customizable. Just download our DashXL skin editor from our website to edit the dashboard and change it to your liking. Then share it with everyone at DashXL.net!

If you need to format your computer and reinstall the software, simply save the license key and enter in when you reinstall.

To change the values from English to Metric, or to modify the skin in any other way, you'll need to download the DashXL skin editor from our website. The documentation is available on DashXL.net, but it's got a steep learning curve.

For the fuel gauge, are you sure your vehicle supports the fuel level PID?

How do i find out if this PID is for my car....

Also since its a steep learning curve.. Can you not implement both the scales ( metric n imperial ) so that we can choose from the user settings

To see if your vehicle supports the fuel level PID, just go to the data logging screen and click Add PID. Then find fuel level (SAE.FLI I believe) in the list and see if it has a green checkmark or a red X next to it. If it's green, it's supported, if it's red, it's not.

As for both English and Metric, this is entirely up to the dashboard designer.
