  • Compiling Scantool 1.15 under Ubuntu 9.10 - need help

    Ok, so I've compiled the program but when it runs, it screws up my screen resolution and doesn't ever really do anything. No GUI shows up. Here's the output from terminal if that will help. It looks like it's trying to go fullscreen, which I don't want it to do but can't find the setting to keep it from trying.

    Code:
    $ ./ScanTool
    X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
      Major opcode of failed request: 129 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
      Minor opcode of failed request: 10 (XF86VidModeSwitchToMode)
      Value in failed request:  0x3a00008
      Serial number of failed request: 137
      Current serial number in output stream: 143

    Nevermind, figured it out. Was an issue with my scantool.cfg

    Original looked like this:
    Code:
    version = 1.15

    [general]
    system_of_measurements = 1
    display_mode = 0

    [comm]
    baud_rate = 14
    comport_number = -1
    Changed it to:
    Code:
    version = 1.15

    [general]
    system_of_measurements = 1
    display_mode = 1

    [comm]
    baud_rate = 9600
    comport_number = -1
    Yay.
