  • Custom ipod holder?(new project+pics on page 2)

    hi, my second post

    I wana make a ipod holder. I want to wrap the holder in cloth(so that i dont damage my ipod) what would be the best way to do this? should i use MDF? wood? bondo? fiberglass? any suggestions would help

        mdf is easiest to work with, but fiberglass is the way to go if you're after a curvy sort of shape.

          If you'd really want to build your own Id start here: http://www.nuklear.org/ipod_dock/. After that you can make it look however you want

            yeah man, gotta start with a dock I'd say...
            MY NEWEST INSTALL:modded infiniti fx with big screen

            first windows carpc install........my liquid cooled LVDS screen :D

              use a dock, wrap it in fleece to get curvy looks. fiberglass it, then wrap it in vinyl.

                  I was thinking about making mine out of MDF... show plenty of pics!

                        they say a picture speaks a thousand words... iv got 34 pics.. so iv said 34000 words... hope this is enough the pics pretty much explpain themselvs, but if there are any peugeot drivers out there who want to do this then just send me a private msg and ill be happy to answer any questions. Btw, the entire project cost virtually nothing to make, i spent R10 on glue, R20 on leathers, R15 on the aux cable(my front loader has a "line out" and found the wood in my work shed

                            i thought it would actually "dock" and get the audio through there and provide charging... but this is cool too. Yay wüd.
