  • mp3car.com & Accord XM Antenna Install

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so if necessary please feel free to let me know where to have it moved.

I've finished installing the mp3car.com GPS/Cell/WiFi antenna, as well as an XM antenna from a 2005 Accord LX V6 painted an appropriate textured black.

You can see several pictures of the install in my picture gallery. and a teaser pic is included below.

I haven't yet had a chance to test their effectiveness yet since I'm still busy completing the rest of the CarPC and sound system install, but I trust they'll work well, and (in my opinion) they look pretty darn good. :-)

CarPC Progress ~= 97%. Everything is installed, and operational. Still need to tweak and tune, and do some "finish" fabrication.

    Dude, that looks pretty good!
    Failure is not an option....

It's installed by default on every version of Windows.

I got it on ebay (of course) for about $35 bucks shipped. :-)

The accord antenna seems to have a slight curvature to the base, but it seals just fine (ran pressurized water over it), and unless you're looking closely, you'd never notice.

I'll have to pull it out when I have a few minutes to get the part number.

I'll try to do it tomorrow when I get a chance. :-)

I think it's "NH578", but here's a picture of it, since there are about a billion numbers on the thing.
