  • Wood Grain Dash's

Looking to cover my original dash in wood but I'm not going to settle for the cheap vinyl. I've seen some mention of the water transfer printing method but cannot seem to find anywhere to buy the burl wood film or the chemical needed to activate it. Are there any other methods of creating a burl wood effect through paint or maybe someone can link me to a place to get the films and chemical I need for the transfer printing.

Or you could just do it in real wood...........

What kind of car do you have? Perhaps there is already an aftermarket kit.

I have a Lincoln LS (03). I just got back from my garage at my parents house with what I think could be a great solution for some of us. I'm going to be doing several interior pieces from my car in the next few days and I will be sure to take pictures and make a how-to if anyone is interested. It's a pretty easy method, just a variation of another popular texturing idea.

Thanks greatwhite but I am purposely avoiding the kits. They only include certain pieces and all kits for the LS are just retarded. They don't fit correctly, etc.

Here's a very crappy picture of what I tested today.

Maybe the same company? Maybe one outsorces to the other? Either way, the finishes are sweet.
