    Moved to Fabrication.
the Show Off Your Project forum is for completed vehicle computer projects only.
Unless I missed something, there's no PC in there.

Nice fab work, though. Very clean.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

so when are you putting in a PC?

Nice work though! (Even without the PC, the pics may help someone get inspired on other parts of their projects...)

        question:

Even though it looks cool, the crossovers mounted there seem strange to me. You have your speaker cable running from the deck to the crossovers and then back through the car to the speakers? For the rears, that makes sense, but for the fronts, that seems like some excessive amounts of wiring. I'd have put the JL 500/1 in that spot instead, but that's me.

I have RCA cables running to the amps. The amps run speaker wire to the xovers and the xovers then go to the speakers. The JL 500 is for the sub which it sits right next to conveniently. In the amp rack, The left amp drives the rear speakers and the right amp drives the fronts.... (I think)

Nice amprack! I sure wish I could draw as well as you.

So, are you planning on putting in a carputer?

I'm using my carputer 100%, but I still need to make it easier to use.

I'm thinking about it. Right now I'm trying to scrape extra cash for a fold out Alpine display. Here's the list of models i'm considering:

              IVA D310 and D300
              IVA D105
              IVA C1006

I'll be selling mt 7998 to offset the costs if i find one at a good price.

What do people normally use a carputer for?

lots of things, I'm using it mainly for audio and gps, and very soon for OBDII diagnostics, there are some people that have the car a lot more "hooked up" with something like the Fusion Brain (developed by members of this forum...) that can basically do almost anything (check out the page for that product which goes over a lot of it's capabilities)

I think for the time being, i''ll just stick with a HU that's DVD audio compatable. Perhaps in another car....and with a better version of windows lol
