  • Wanted: Someone to do my Bezel Modification

I have a 07 Chrysler Sebring. I have a spare radio bezel. I need the opening to be 4" tall by 7" wide for my Guru Carputer. The current radio opening is too short and too wide. I dremeled out the height so I could run the Guru in the car while testing it.

If you are good at bezel work and are interested in another bezel project to work on contact me. Obviously I will pay for the work.

    Thanks

    Jason

What I am looking to do is have the radio area made level (it currently goes inward as you can see from the pic) and extend to the sides of the Guru. The bottom side of the radio section will need to be slightly built up in the middle to make it level with the bottom of the radio as well.

Why not just go to a hobby shop (unless none available) and buy some of their modeling plastic. The modifications look simple and then buy you some bondo glass if you need a high build and/or something like rage gold for a low build/finishing layer. Get some paint and you're done.

I already tried working on it. Don't have the skills, time or patience for it. Rather go with someone who has experience and can produce a factory look.

I know a few friends like this. I would help you if I didn't have so many projects of my own.... Plus I have been one handed for a month now. This delays me more!

You should try Nexson, He has done work for a couple (that I know of) members on this forum. Check out this LINK, he's trying to get his name out there and posted a video for recognition. He also has other work posted in fabrication to check out.

being that its entire unit all as one, and not just a screen i would work on mounting it into the car first, then re-working the bezel around that. Its not too difficult to make that look nice, however if someone does it for you and then where its placed in the bezel doesnt line up for mounting then your screwed.
