Alright im working with a 1994 Jeep Cherokee XJ. The dash looks like
http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0004_large.jpg im wanting to put a flip out tv but right now I think when it flips out it will hit the top of the dash so what would yall do? How crazy could we get with this? Or should I just sell it and get a double din. Im wanting to keep the air vent but dont care if we have to move it. I kinda wanna like fiberglass some autometer guages in there to. I got 2 of them.

Why don't you just move the a/c controls to the top and put the flip out tv where the a/c controls currently sit.

I think when popped out, the flip out will clear the top part of the dash.

I agree with Nexson. The most obivous soulution would be to move to hvac control to the top slot and mount the flip-up screen there....but it looks like those controls are mechanical, which will make it much more difficult, sometimes impossible without a lot of custom fab work. Open up the dash and take a look inside. Sometimes the controls are one complete unit with some sleeved cables running from it.

Why not either get rid of the bottom vent under the air controls and put it in there. Or move that vent to the top and then put the flip up monitor on the bottom. That way you will will not hit the dash but it more than likely interfear with you air controls (only when open). Just a thought.
