  • Glue/Bonding hard metal to plasic? What matieral

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a quick drying adhesive that will glue steel to plastic.

I'd like dry time (dry enough to remove clamps) to be around 5 minutes.

    Any recommendations?

    Thx.

what kind of plastic? If your talking about interior panels, it's kinda hard, since the plastic manufacturers use on interiors is hard to bond to. I suggest using a good adhesion promoter first:

    or,

Then, a plastic epoxy such as:

That should give you a really good bond. The bulldog adhesion promoter works well also for getting fiberglass to adhere to plastic as well.

I'm not sure the name, but it's the faceplate off my headunit. So I guess 'radio plastic'
