badandy4you.. how do you find your dlink ? Just connected mine up.. not bad at all. I found under a quick test, that i get better reception when I use the center pin as the center pin on the aerial. I need to solder a rca connector on it to tidy it up yet.. but thats tomorrows job. I found it did blue screen once, but i was rapidly changing stations through my ibus steering wheel controls :-)

Interesting.. I found the exact opposite. I had to make an adapter that would take the center conductor of the aerial to the outer conductor of the RCA and vice versa.

Unfortunately, i have terrible reception with my dlink. I connected the center condutor of the bmw antenna to the center conductor of the dlink but the reception is really bad. I tried every possible combinations but still sounds horrible. even at best reception, the bass freq is gettting cut off. I basically get no bass when listening to the radio. I pretty much abandon the dlink until someone can come up with a better alternative.

Kickercivic1 - It may be easy.. or is it just that all BMW owners are pro installers :-p

Its easy once you know how, after reading alot of posts and asking questions its just a matter of time.. time and more time.. taking it easy and not rushing. Its very easy to say sod it that will do. When clearly it doesnt look right and you know it. That extra hour can make all the difference. :-)
