  • Putty I can form and then harden?

I am looking to make speaker pods for the corners of my dash (Shoved between the pillers/dash/winshield. The easiest way is to create a baffle and surround for the speakers, cover in non hardening clay and shove them into the corners. I could then sculpt them the way I want and carefully remove them. This is the tricky part... how do i go from here?

I guess I would have to form a mold around them and then create new pods out of glass inside the mold. Seems like 3x the work...

Is there a thick putty that i could form the pods with, carefully pull out and then coat on a hardener? Let that hardener soak in a few layers to make one nice hard outer shell? then i scoop out the putty that didnt harden from the inside and I'm good to go?

    Any advice?
Take my advice: Do not try to build a system that includes EVERY feature. Start with the basics, build it to a bug free state, and THEN add on.

Depends on how big your speakers are... but this is a good method! Good Luck and post pics if you do it.
