  • Recommended Volume

I have 2 old school MTX 5000 series sub, but i cannot figure out the reccommended volume for the subwoofers. I see something called Volume Acoustic Suspension, but this is 3.65 Ft^3, seems like wayyyy too much volume for a single 12" sub.

    Thats in advance.

    VAS is something completely different.

There is an eq out there using the TS paramaters to determine the correct enclosure...

but for a MTX 12" 1.25 to 1.5 cu ft. sealed should work

I'll see if I can find that eq real quick

          Note!
The following parameters are needed ?
          1. Fs (the resonant frequency of the driver
          2. Qt (total driver Q, a measure of sharpness of rsonance)
          3. Vas (the volume of air having the same acoustic compliance as the driver)

          Enter Vas in qubic feet
          ? 3.65
          Enter Qt
          ? .61
          Enter Fs
          ? 27.4
Enter the desired system Q, ideal range = .7
          ? .7
