  • If Anyone needs help with Honda '03/'04 Accords

Just letme know. After tinkering, I know how to get the stock radio out and how to also get to it, without mashing and breaking any of the plastic or leather. It's a pain, as some newer cars can be, but it's possible.

Takes about half an hour of good patient time. You have to basically dissemble the center console, but it's not as complicated as it sounds.

3 Screws on top of the radio, and 2 below it, secure it to the dash framing. 2 Plastic clips then hold the console's faceplate in place (as if the screws weren't enough).

Also, if you don't have the NAV option installed, the black center dash cover over top of the radio (with the 2 vents) can be used as extra storage or whatnot. You could even motorize it if you started tinkering.

Anyhow, just thought I would post with some thoughts.

have you figured out how to work around the fact that the OEM radio is wired into the multiplexer, and you basicly can't remove it. well I mean you can physically remove it, but electrical items stop working without it.

I had the "anti-theft stereo" and just had best buy remove it, the guy that worked there was really helpful, he'd probably tell me the trick if i asked.
