  • noob question: how to keep lcd "guts" from moving

i was wondering how you would keep the lcd itself (outside of casing) from moving/securing it when making your bezel?

????? when u mold your bezel into the dash you dont leave the lcd in it! lol u gotta take it out and then just the front bezel and mold it and keep ur lcd and backing and stuff in a good safe place :-D

most people take their case apart and mold the front piece into the dash. then just out it back together (so the back half holds it in)

I made a 'picture frame' sort of deal out of some .75" trim wood, then used the small brackets that were inside the case to hold it in.

      pictures in my gallery.

then you'll just need to rig something. you can use epoxy or something else to attach some anchors to the back side of the trim, then screw something into them to hold the screen.

Bondo/epoxy to make side screw holes, velcro, double sided tape, standoffs, zip ties, bathroom mirror holders, screws and nylon washers... or a combination of some of those. Just some ideas.
