  • 2004 Mitsubishi Galant Dash

this is not my car..its my buddy's car. he has a 2004 mitsubishi galant..pimp as hell. he has one of those custom dashes that had ac controls and radio built into one and the radio screen is up top. well he bought a double din kenwood and decided to let me hack up his dash to fit it in. i know im no fabrication guru like altimat but i think it looks pretty nice..not bad for one days work!

show some before and after pics of the whole dash/car

giving feedback on a dash getting cut / glued / sprayed is kinda difficult....

but the end result seems ok and neat and smooth

not sure what the beginning was like though

What did you use? Looks like liquid plastic.

On a side note, what kind of rims are those on the Galant...I have been looking for a set of black wheels for my Impala.

I used abs cement with 2 strips of abs plastic. It fused the 2 together. Than I used bondo over the plastics to smooth it all out. Sanded down and primed.

I believe the rims are black lowenhart LD1 model 20s.

thanks...he actually paid some guy to do it and the other guy just cut the unit in half to seperate the radio from hvac controls and just ghetto rigged a stupid vinly board around the tv..it looked sooo aweful! so with about 20 bucks worth of materials i got it back lookn nice! i used some 60 second epoxy to glue it back together..epoxy smells like ****! lol. and you can see the rest!
