  • Super Small PC - Kind of Spendy though

http://www.littlepc.com has a really neat setup. Its a little expensive, but if you are looking for a finished setup, its pretty decent. Would work great for carrying around from car to car possibly. Should pretty much fit anywhere!

Here is the spec sheet and prices as well.

I could not find a post on it anywhere. Sorry if someone has posted this.

Its called the SUMICOM computer (super mini computer). Its been out for a little while. you can find a much cheaper version here:
      http://www.caseoutlet.com/NWPc/Sumi/Sumi.html

I really want to know if I could fit this into my dash its 10" long so I would need like a foot of room with all the cables...
it accepts DC 12V, 5A. What would I need to be able to connect this directly to my car?

        hmmm

Not sure if its that much cheaper. Nothing comes with it at the price of $359. No memory, HD, DVD, CPU, nothing.

Might have to price out the parts to add to it. I don't see CPU option on that page or HD option

If only they made some sort of docking stations for these things.

What would you want the Docking station to do? You can get USB docks that do everything but video (But I think I remember on with video I just can not find it again)

So you could get it down to 3 connections.

                    nahh

I don't think a laptop is smaller than that...some are I guess, but way more expensive for the same features ina laptop.

The only advantage to this is a complete SMALL solution in a nice box.

I am thinking of getting one to play with..not sure yet

Im not seeing any. If anything its not as good because its bigger and doesnt come with a CD-rom. It does have a firewire port. So I guess that is a plus, but some models of the ezgo have them too.

Hit up http://directron.com/directron/ezgo.html and see the list of inputs/outputs. They are pretty much the same. If you are looking to get one from directron...you should be able to get a CPU for half their price.

                            wow, I like both systems.

ez-go has TV-OUT, SUMICOM has firewire

Is there a way to run VGA to an RCA plug?

                            I need the firewire support

u can get vga to svideo (tv, rca style) converters. Be aware that these will obviously reduce the quality of the video output.
