  • pc in 04 mini cooper..need help

whats up guys, i know this is the place to go for carputers, so i need some input.

i have an 04 mini cooper. just ordered one of those Shark 10.4" screens for 213 shipped (the one that the LCD is actually a Samsung)

anyways, that should be here soon.

my question is, should i build a custom pc, or just get a Mac Mini? if i get the Mac Mini, its only got the 3.5mm audio out....is this going to sound bad in my car?

if i get the mac, or build a pc, this is how its going to be set up either way:

PC audio out, to AUX In, on my Nakamichi head unit. then front/rear/sub outs, to in's on my crossover, to ins on the amps.

so if i go 3.5mm out from the Mac Mini, to the left/right AUX in on the Head unit, will that sound bad, vs if i get a custom PC, with a sound card that has left/right audio outs, vs a single 3.5mm?

That's entirely up to you. How well can you use a Mac?

First of all, you do realize that if you build a custom PC, you're STILL going to have 3.5mm audio out, right?
And as long as you wire everything up with care taken to prevent RFI, you should have no issues.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
