  • scan converter vs video card

Well, Im in the process of scouting out what I want to buy. Ive come to a particular question that Im not sure which road to travel. I am using a slim case book pc. I have onboard video which uses shared memory (right now 32mb). My two options look like a scan converter, which price from ebay around $45. Or I could go with a low profile card with tv-out for $44here . Obviously they are so similar in price that I have no real leanings as far as that goes. Any opinions one way or another? Any reason I should stay away from the scan converter? Right now Im leaning to the video card because its one less cable to be in the way. Also this does have 3D support so that MIGHT help in the distant future. Anyway, just thought Id toss this out to all the people in the mp3car world.
