  • Resume Issues, has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix?

Sometime and somewhere along my build my PC started to have this nasty issue that after resuming I have to move the mouse cursor inorder for everything to start up again. I noticed it because when I came out of hibernation CF would not start to autoplay, but then when I move the mouse it would. Lots of others have complained and Flux says its an issue with Windows not sending the Resume command. THey say this happens with some hardware setups, but from what I see this happens from the get go, and I just started having this problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and is there anything I can do to get rid of it? I was thinking of doing a reformat and reinstall of windows, but I do not want to waste my time if it ends up still doing it. Any help would be appreciated!

Well if it just started and you haven't changed anything hardware wise, I'd assume software. Wipe and a reload would be fairly quick.

I agree, Im going to reinstall everything. My system never did this before so I am not ready to blame this on hardware. This weekend should be fun. Im just wondering what caused this issue to pop up.

It's hard to tell with windows. Windows does strange things. Now I'm interested to see if it was just a fluke that it worked right in the beginning, or if you're gonna still have problems after the wipe and reload.

One of my laptops does that kind of crap too once in a while. For the most part, it'll come up right away from standby or hibernate, but once in a while, it'll sit there and won't display/do anything until I touch the mouse or hit something on the keyboard. It's kinda annoying but it's not so bad on a laptop. It would be a major annoyance if my car pc did it though so I understand where you're coming from.

Well it turns out the hibernation issue is a .NET problem. CF uses .NET to wake up, but with a update, FLUX is going to change it so it listens to Windows rather then .NET for resume commands.

Are you running XP? Try a system restore. Before I add anything new to my PC I always make a restore point, so if I add something and it hoses everything then I have something to go back to. And once my new software or hardware is up and running well I make another one... just for cases like this where all the sudden things stop working well. Makes it easy to fix these glitches.

well it was such a mission to track it down, such an issue that I missed what caused it. So im not gonna break my head over it. Im just going to wait for the CF update.
