  • double din VGA screen

    Hi folks!

I own an Seat Leon and installed a car PC in it. At first, I used a motorized 1-din screen (K301) of witch I wasn't completely satisfied (the touchscreen calibrated badly)

Now the wole screen is broken. Now I want to install a screen that fits my double din slot. Something like the CID650 - but I only need a touch screen, a DVD slot-in drive behind it would be cool, but I definately don't need an amplifier and FM tuner.

My question is: does something like that exists? I also see some open frame screens. Are there any frames for that kind of screens, so it will fit a standard double-din slot?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Greets,
    Tom

this is just a frame for a lilliput 7" screen, but fits in a double din opening.

yeah ive seen these they are neat.the thng is i had a 7 inch screen and its jsut to small for using a car pc, thats why im upgradin to about 12 inch.the small screen is ok for anything apart from when using the internet which i do so i need a bigger screen.

what car r u putting this into ??

i don't use the internet much in my car, so it is not a big deal. it went in a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse convertible.

i can see how you would say it is small, as long as i use a front end, it is ok, but going into any other screen is a pain. it is easy to install, and did not require any modification to my dash, which was a huge plus for me, because i really don't want to be refabbing my dash much with this car.

yeah sounds exactly what u wanted, how does the screen stay in the din socket tho,do u install the surround first screw it inm then does the screen attach from the front of the unit as i cant see how its attached tot he dash without falling off when hitting a big bump

my car came with brackets that line up perfectly, so i really just had to run to the hardware store for 4 nuts and bolts.
