  • from CARPC to Headunit to Amp, is this possible?

I'm installing in my Voom 2 Carpc over this weekend into my mk2 golf.

My first issue that ive found is that i haven't a clue where to put the PC itself, so it will go in the boot unless anyone has any ideas?

I'm wanted to keep my headunit if possible and am wondering if there is any way, of running my carpc's sound through my headunit which runs through my amp!

Has anyone tried this? maybe through AUX, although it would be nice to for my PC & headunit to work together (example for incoming calls etc)

That's what I would do, just run it through the AUX input.

Thanks for the quick reply :-)

I'll do this and see how it goes!

Just need to find a location to mount the Voom PC now,
My instructions does not mention to use a fuse near the battery, would you guys recommend it?

It's always a good idea to have a fuse as close to the battery as possible because if something happens to short down the line, the fuse will go and prevent anymore damage.

Have a look at the input amp rating on your carPC power supply. Then get a fuse to that value.

It's quite unusual for them not to mention the use of a fuse. I know for experienced installer it would be common sense, but it should still be mentioned.

Wouldn't it be best to be of a slightly larger value than the fuse on the power supply? Fuses add some resistance.
