  • Where can i find a Micro-itx board? (pics included)

well here's my problem, i have a slimline s3100n which comes with a micro-itx (7.5"x6.4") board and a 24 pin mini power connector, my problem is that i can't find a micro-itx board to replace it with i can only find mini-itx with normal size power connector and i can't replace the power supply because of the size of the case, i found the original mobo on eBay but at $100+ for a amd borad i feel like I'm buying my third nut.

    here are some pics:

I think you'll have an easier time finding a suitable miniITX board and an adapter for the PSU connector.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

Yup. Either get the power adapter, or buy a DC-DC PSU (which you should do anyway).

Using an inverter is just going to mess up the next board you buy too...

There's PLENTY of room in there for a DC-DC PSU.

i guess should have mentioned I'm going to use this PC in my house as a media server so no need for a DC-DC.

You may be subject to HP's use of a motherboard that doesn't follow any standards. They are known for manufacturing components that won't work with anything that follows accepted standards. I don't know if this board is that way or not.
IF it only meets HP's standards, then your only option would be to get a replacement board from HP.

I'd say, get a mini itx board, a new case,a nd new psu, and be done w/ it.

I hope you kept the case + PSU, could bring a couple of bucks for you on ebay or something.
