  • ST4121 output to BMW SATNAV 4:3 screen

Long time lurker Finally with a question.

I recently acquired a Fujitsu 4121 Tablet and I have the BMW Satnav headunit installed in my car (4:3 screen). I also installed the video in motion cable and that also provides me with RCA inputs for the AV channel on the headunit.

My thinking is to get a VGA to S-video cable for the ST4121, and output its display to my 4:3 BMW satnav screen. However I'm not sure if it will support the resolution, can anyone confirm ? I really only want it for playback of AVIs, and maybe some basic MAME games.

I guess since I have a few of the 4121s laying around in a closet somewhere, I can attempt to address this for you. A good VGA converter will display up to 1024x768 on a S-Video/composite screen. The qu estion is whether its readable for YOU . Since you say you only want it for AVIs and MAME, you can change the resolution on the 4121 to 640x480 and any old converter should play on your screen just fine.
