  • Hibernate Trigger Problems

    Hi,

I was currently having issues with my usb devices not working after resuming from hibernation. So, i created an autoit script which i converted to .exe which enables and disables the usb devices when going into hibernation and resuming from hibernation which is using devcon commands. The program i use to call the .exe is hibernate trigger.

The problem is when my computer hibernates, my usb devices get disabled, but when i resume from hibernate hibernate trigger doesn't run the resume command, so my usb devices stay disabled.

I have tried manually clicking the disable.exe and enable.exe which i created and works fine, just doesn't work through hibernate trigger.

I also put hibernate trigger in my startup folder, but do the applications in the startup folder get called when you resume from hibernation?

ps. Here are the main commands i have in the 2 .exe i created.

    enable.exe:
    c:\devcon enable @usb\*

    disable.exe:
    c:\devcon disable @usb\*

I also did the same thing, but put the "pid_****" same effect.

    Any suggestions.

Items in the Startup folder are only run when first logging into windows. They do not run on resume from hibernate/sleep.

Not sure if it matters, but the devcon examples don't use the @ symbol before USB.

Other than that, sounds like a problem with the hibernate trigger software. Try getting a hold of whoever developed it.
