  • Need PS2 keyboard for bios reset - don't have one!

I disabled legacy USB support on my Intel D201GLY board to speed up boot on my Windows XP machine. Some time later the HDD got corrupted and I'm just now getting around to fixing it.

Trouble is, I need a PS2 keyboard to access bios and get it to start from a CD drive. I found a ps2 mouse but I don't have a keyboard and nobody I know has one.

Any ideas out there, or am I going to have to buy a ps2 keyboard?

maybe try using a mouse usb/ps2 adapter.

i haven't checked that they have the same pinout, but i imagine that they are close.

Could have always just reset the bios to defaults...

Just for fun, how do you do that? I thought of it but after some Googling, it didn't appear that there was a way to do it. I removed the CMOS battery hoping that would do it but it didn't.

What's the secret passcode to do it?
