  • suggestions for voice command button for carputer which is blutooth/wirelss

okay i have came up with series of ideas how to trigger voice command on my carputer that looks clean and naturalish.

    ideas:

. take a joystick and take out the button and fit it into the carputer but problem is looks wacked so can't use that.
. second idea was take a microsoft mouse because it useses something called intelpoint software that lets you assign the keyboard keys to mouse but than again looks wack.

so please can anyone provide me with a hardware name that is bluetooth/or wireless that i can press even if i am driving and activate voice control on carputer or something that would just do.

any help would be good thanks.

      Why it should be wireless?

I use this Sony remote stalk with CarPCJoyCon on my FX.

Gives me 10 buttons, one of them (on the top of it that says 'source') I use for voice. As a bonus I have play/pause/mute/ff/rwd/prev/next/and shortcuts for whatever I want (video, library, hibernate, etc.). Any button is able to wake the computer too.

The Sony Remote is the RM-X2S, but I think you can use the RM-X4S (I got mine from an old Sony CD changer, but you can find it on ebay easily). It's a resistive type remote (like OEM steering wheel controls), so you're going to need something like the CarPC JoyCon, that has an USB interface and works great with Windows 7. They have just released a new EX feature that allows two remotes like the above, and other features, but I use the previous version with great results.

There are cheaper solutions around, but many here use these. Do a search around the forums and you'll find what works for you.
