  • how to weatherproof my webcams?

    well i need to weatherproof some webcams i want to use on my car, so i need some advice.
    Can i fill the inside of the webcam with silicone or what?

    It depends on the model. Do you know which webcam you'll be using? Does it have an adjustable lens? Does it have holes?

      the webcam has got 6 infrared leds and no adjustable lens.

            That looks like it might be a little harder becuase of the LEDs. Are they mounted to the PCB? If it's all one piece you might be able to mask off the LEDs and lens and then spraypaint the PCB. That usually protects the electronics pretty well. You could probably get away with clear spraypaint over it assembled (with the lens covered) to seal around the LEDs, case seam, and wire.
